1. When you leave the Tattoo studio unless you have some cleaning solution at home you must buy either: Saline solution peroxide 3% (Navel and Nipple only) or mix your own solution of salt and warm water

2. Clean the piercing twice a day for 4 weeks ensuring your hands are clean when touching the piercing.

3. For Madonna, tongue or labret piercing you must return to Adrenalin 1 week after the piercing to get it changed for a smaller bar.

4. The area which you have pierced may swell but that’s nothing to worry about it
will go down.

5. For all other piercings if you want to change them after 4 weeks you can do so, there are rings and bars available to buy from Adrenalin all different colours and sizes.

6. For specialist piercings you will be instructed on aftercare.

7. It is very important not to over clean your piercing, morning and night is sufficient but be aware that you must clean your hands before carrying out this procedure.

8. Products such as make up, hair products and perfume need to be applied before you clean your piercing again making sure you have cleaned your hands thoroughly otherwise you are at risk from creating an infection by transferring chemicals into an open wound.

Items needed: Sterilized Saline Solution or H2 Ocean Sea Salt Spray, Cotton Balls, Anti-Bacterial Foaming hand soap (carex, detol).

Clean your new piercing 1x daily for 2 x weeks then clean as needed.

Cleaning your piercing should take place before bed once daily to avoid over irritation Take one cotton ball, soak it with warm water, and lather it with one pump of the foaming soap. Hold the cotton ball lightly over the piercing for no less than 2 minutes. This will loosen up any dried blood or crusties during the healing process. We do not want to be over concerned about cleaning behind the skin divers as this will cause irritation. We want to concentrate on maintaining a clean piercing without over cleaning it. After 2 minutes remove the cotton ball and use your sterile saline spray bottle or H2 Ocean to irrigate all soap and body matter away from the skin diver. Pat dry and cover with a small plaster, repeat this process for 2 weeks.
