The Numbing Cream (Ametop) has to be applied to the desired area for at least one hour before the cream has any effect. Different areas of the body and different skin pigments can take up to two hours for the cream to take effect. Areas such as hands and feet where there is very little muscle tissue do not have such good results as other areas of the body. It is both useful to the customer and tattooist when tattooing the torso as the customer has to breathe which makes it difficult to tattoo moving skin when the stomach inflates and deflates. The cream has to be applied preferably by us at the studio for the best results, you can always purchase the cream prior to your tattoo and we will give you professional advice on its application. It cannot be guaranteed that you will feel nothing at all but in the main it does work very well and if you do feel any sensation it will be very slight.
